You depart from Captain Callen's ready room, reentering the bridge. You look across and see a young woman at one of the forward consoles. She has dark red hair, green eyes, wears a red uniform, and has Lieutenant rank pips. As you approach, she looks up and gives you a friendly smile.

"Hello," she says. "You must be the new officer I heard about. I'm Jiana Kennedy, Helm and Operations Officer. That generally means I take care of helm, communications and operations, while I'm on the bridge anyway. Some ships have those positions separate, but the Isannah isn't fully manned, so I take care of all three." She shrugged. "I can get a little busy at times, but nothing too major."

"Communications is easy. Send and recieve messages, coding or decoding as needed. Operations is a little more tricky, though a lot of that can be covered by other stations if needed. Helm is where I shine, though. If Captain Callen told me to get the Isannah through an asteroid field at full impulse, I could do it without batting an eye. Might want to hold on, though. Times like that I put this old girl through her paces. Inertial dampeners sometimes can't quite keep up with me."

"I don't always pilot the Isannah, though," she explains. "If we get a high-profile away mission when transporters can't be used, and they can spare me up here, I'll fly the team down in a shuttle. Haven't tried fighters much, but I could probably do well in those too." A beeping at Jiana's console draws her attention away. "Sorry, but I've got to keep my eyes on my console here. If you need me for anything, you can find me in the lounge later. Enjoy the rest of your tour!" As you step away, Jiana's attention returns to flying the ship.
