Beam Aboard!

So you've been wandering around this site, you think what you've seen is pretty neat and you'd like to be a part of it. Great!

Because the Isannah is a single ship, an independent, in the vast possibilities of huge roleplaying groups that reside on the Internet, we don't get new applications very often. And as such, we screen people pretty well to see if you're really interested in joining us, and come to realize what it is we expect in terms of participation.

If you haven't already, I'd recommend you read the Tour sections, both the Character Tour, and the Player Tour, so that you have a better feel for how we operate.

Having done all of the above, it's now time to prepare to submit your extensive, painful, thoroughly demoralizing, utterly difficult submission package --- kidding! Kidding! But there are two things we'd like you to write for us to see if you'll fit in on our little boat.

1. Character Outline: This will take the form of a description, from whatever perspective you like, explaining who this character is, where he/she/it comes from, how they joined Starfleet (or didn't, if you are wanting to play a civilian), essentially to the point of how they would have come to be on the Isannah.

2. Writing Submission: This can be in any style you'd like, first-person, third-person, narrative, or script format, whatever you're used to writing in. But it will need to cover a scene from your character's life. It doesn't particularly matter what scene. Something from their childhood? Maybe a happening at the Academy? A particularly difficult moment in their adolescence? Sometime in their service history? Pretty much anything will do.

Then you package it up all nice and neat (don't forget to proofread!) in an e-mail and send it to I_Am_Talisan@hotmail.com

What Now?
We'll get back to you within a few days of your submission. Our idea of "training" is a little different since we're just a group of about ten people writing together. Instead of waiting for a "training class" you'll be run through a personalized training scenario with one of our players to help introduce you to and acclimate you to the ship.

In any case, thank you for your interest in the USS Isannah.
